I haven’t really enjoyed a karate flick all that much since I saw the Karate Kid way back in the mid 80s. I finally got around to watching Kung Fu Panda this weekend with the kids and thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ve seen this type of story before, but the execution of the idea was top notch. The fighting sequences, the character animation and dialogue are first rate. My kids loved it as well, and so far it hasn’t influenced them to kung-fu fight each other.

The New Burger on the Block

In and Out must have read the how to book on exceeding expectations. People have been going crazy over these joints ever since they hit the Wasatch Front. I've never seen any restaurant of any kind with so many people lined up to eat. I visited the place today for the very first time. I expected a long wait, an okay burger, and some pretty regular fast food service. The experiece I had was a welcome surprise. We ordered in less than 5 minutes, the food was fresh as could be and it tasted great, and the place was clean and each of the employees super friendly. I had to keep asking myself, "Am I really at a fast food restaurant?" 3 cheers for In and Out.

Dream Screen?

Got a new HP Dream Screen in a company gift raffle. After taking the gadget out of the box and giving it a test drive I see that it is shelf worthy. I think 'Dream' in the title sets expectations a little too high for this little guy. The internet connectivity is as slow as cold tar, and when you want to listen to music via Pandora and then utilize some of it's other features the music turns off. Moving through pictures is slow as well; whether you're viewing Facebook pics or pics you've loaded on yourself. Despite the not so dreamy test drive, I think I know now what to expect from this little frame. We'll probably use it often as a simple digital picture frame and play some cool tunes to enjoy round the house.

Why is it that we're all so fascinated with seeing people at the top of their game take a nose dive in their personal life? Poor decisions, poor Tiger. He probably wishes that he got caught on camera with a bong like Michael Phelps than what he is currently going through. However, if anyone can repair such a tarnished image Tiger is the guy to do it.

1- Little or no worth
2- On the radar, but not really

6- Makes me feel good inside

So here we go. An example post is posted below.

While Friday is usually cause for celebration since it closes the five-day work week, it historically has been an unlucky day in some cultures (hence Friday the 13th). There is a real energy about this day of the week; an energy that can contribute to both maximum and subpar productivity. Friday doesn't have that cool a ring to it, perhaps this is the reasoning behind the acronym TGIF. Rest assured the name has nothing to do with Fries (the potato version) or the hot atmosphere in Hades.
